Join us for an exciting exploration of Lim Tze Peng’s artworks that beautifully capture the landscapes of Southeast Asia! In this programme, participants will learn more about the artist's techniques and style, experiment with various art techniques like painting and sketching, and engage in interactive activities that foster teamwork and problem-solving.
A highlight of the experience will be a short outdoor sketch walk, where participants can translate their real-world observations into expressive artworks. Don’t miss this fun adventure that blends art, exploration and imagination!
This drop-off activity is suitable for children aged 8–10 years old. Please bring a cap for sun protection during the sketch walk. In case of rain, we’ll move our sketching indoors at National Gallery Singapore.

ARTventure Camp invites children to delve into the world of art through hands-on activities, engaging gallery tours, and collaborative projects. This thematic programme encourages children to experiment with various art forms and techniques, with every session inspired by a different aspect of the gallery's collection.
About the artist
Lim Tze Peng (b. 1921, Singapore) is Singapore’s oldest living and active artist. Lim occupies a unique position in Singapore’s art history due to his persistent innovation in ink painting and calligraphy, and his ability to infuse contemporary relevance into ancient practices. Lim was a member of various art groups who made art expeditions around Singapore, Southeast Asia, and beyond, and he produced numerous paintings and sketches from their travels. In 2003, Lim received the Cultural Medallion, Singapore’s highest arts accolade.
