[NEW][Event Series][] LIGHT TO NIGHT IS BACK BIGGER THAN EVER! 🫧🌒 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 is back with its seventh edition, with mind-blowing installations across the Civic District. Organised by nationalgallerysingapore, the festival’s theme this year is “Here & Now”, a reminder to reflect on one’s time and the environment. 🌿 January sure is a fun time for everyone, with so many art installations spread all across the city, with 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 in full swing as well. Just like the previous renditions, there’s many compelling visual exhibits that are best enjoyed at night, with stunning light displays and projections. 🤩 One particular exhibit caught our attention this year and that was 𝗘𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 by Atelier Sisu. This is an immersive light and sound environment that aims to capture the concept of ephemerality, therefore best symbolised by bubbles that exist briefly. The giant bubbles are made with a dream-like colour coat, perfect for that out-worldly photoshoot. 🫧 There are a ton of activities and events to check out as well! Check them out on https://www.nationalgallery.sg/lighttonight2023. ———————————————————————— 📌 lighttonightsg nationalgallerysingapore 📍 Civic District, Singapore 🕑 Open daily till 26 Jan; varying hours for outdoor projections and Art x Social Festival Village

Light to Night Singapore 2025: Do You See Me?

This year’s theme, “Do You See Me?”, offers nuanced and layered interpretations of diverse identities of people, space and place, which resonates with Singapore’s multifaceted and complex identity. It aims to evoke retrospection and introspection, encouraging collective contemplation about what conventional perceptions mean in the present day, and how they might continue to help us envision our futures. As we examine the intersections generated by the theme, we will uncover unexpected ways of seeing ourselves and others through the unique perspectives of our artists, interventions and programmes.

Enjoy exciting programmes and artworks by local legends like Cultural Medallion recipients Chng Seok Tin, Goh Beng Kwan, and Han Sai Por. Art Skins on Monuments returns to transform iconic facades with stunning light projections from Singaporean and Southeast Asian artists.
