SYNOPSIS
Drawing on over 300 works, Siapa Nama Kamu? (which means “What is your name?” in Malay) looks at Singapore’s art history from the 19th century to the present day, exploring the influences and practices that have shaped and transformed Singapore art. By posing this question, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how art may relate to issues of self and community.
This exhibition contains some artworks with potentially sensitive imagery. Visitor discretion is advised.
The DBS Singapore Gallery is made possible through a gift by DBS.
