A response to the groundbreaking exhibition City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s-1940s, this panel brings together three renowned Singaporean creatives—a fashion designer, an actor, and an artist—to share their experiences of working and living abroad. Just like the Asian artists who made their mark in 1920s Paris, they’ve navigated identity, cultural expectations, and breaking into new industries on foreign soil.

Moderated by Usha Chandradas, co-founder of Plural Art Mag, educator and Nominated Member of Parliament, Being an Other promises an engaging and thought-provoking conversation that provides raw perspectives. Don’t miss this chance to see how art, identity, and the expatriate experience continue to shape creative journeys today.

Registration and welcome drinks will start at 5.30pm, followed by the panel discussion at 6.30pm sharp.
