About the author
Ann Proctor gained her PhD from Sydney University, with a specific focus on contemporary Vietnamese sculptural ceramics. She later lectured in art history at the National Art School, Sydney, and taught courses at the Australian National University and Sydney University, as well as in Ho Chi Minh City. She is a regular contributor to the journal of The Asian Art Society of Australia, and her work on Vietnam has been published in various books and journals.
