An Other Face is a 360-degree VR video work that explores illusions, reality, varied interpretations and perspectives. It also explores the idea of identity and reflection in relation to portraiture and concepts of visual art such as colour, space and patterns. Focusing on selected artworks from the Gallery’s collection, An Other Face takes viewers on an engaging journey through a virtual reality experience which encompasses animation and real-life action while exploring art movements like realism and abstraction.

Tang Ling Nah is a Singapore-based artist and independent curator. Her work is inspired by the modern city’s transitional spaces. She reflects on urban conditions, especially the speed of life and the lack of interpersonal intimacy in urban life. Seeing art as communicators of stories about life, Tang’s work spans charcoal drawings, book art, installations, performances and videos to explore buildings, places, and architectural spaces. In 2008, she represented Singapore in the 2nd Singapore Biennale and also exhibited at the 11th International Architecture Biennale in Venice (Singapore Pavilion), in addition to various accolades both locally and overseas.
