A Tessellation of Memories is a reflective journey into our city’s past that pieces together forgotten places from our history. Immerse yourself in an imaginative realm and revisit six locales that have been lost to time and the inevitability of progression, before emerging in the present. Conceptualised by creative technology agency Tribal Worldwide, time stands still as this installation guides viewers to take an intimate look into each place framed within an artful stream of infinity mirrors. A reflection of their former selves, glorious or otherwise, these spaces invite viewers to unearth perspectives unseen — until now.
A Tessellation of Memories is presented as part of Curiocity: Places & Perspectives, an initiative of the National Library Board’s Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025 (LAB25) that aims to nurture a stronger appreciation of the Singapore experience, in partnership with Light to Night Festival 2022.
