Producer Cravism and vocalist Maya Diegel present their latest EP, Caryatid, which explores the joys and troubles in the lives of young adults today. Exploring the themes of expectations, womanhood, grief and kindness, the duo’s smooth beats and dense harmonies will take you on a journey through the experience of trying to fit into social expectations, whilst rejecting the pressure to conform. Recorded amidst the pandemic from the comfort of their homes in Singapore and Paris, the duo still have not met. Come watch their set to witness their first performance together!
Singaporean producer Cravism has always been immersed in hip hop culture. Besides being a professional b-boy, Cravism began playing the piano and trumpet in the early 2000s, before progressing into recording and producing his own music. Since then, his music has been played in Berlin, Hong Kong, London, Mexico City, Milan, Moscow, Paris, and Seoul for the Adidas Originals Flagship Store. Cravism has performed around Singapore and the United Kingdom, opening shows for big names such as Slum Village, Cosmo Midnight and others. Trained in classical and jazz, singer-song-writer and chef Maya Diegel explores different altitudes with her voice by also drawing from hip hop, R&B, neo jazz-hop and funk. Her lyrics and melodies will transport you into a world of pure soul and feminine energy — just sit back and enjoy.
