Celebrate new music and welcome fresh faces! Catch our lineup of Singapore artists as they embark on brand new chapters in their musical journeys at All Things New 2022.
Fresh from releasing their debut EP The Distance Between Us at the end of 2021, indie and alt-rock quartet The New Modern Lights return to the live stage for their first show in almost two years. The New Modern Lights are led by vocalist-guitarist Darius Oon alongside Ethan Hariyono (guitars), Doran Oon (synths), and Adriel Ong (bass). Playing songs from their EP, old favourites, covers and new, never-heard-before material, audiences can look forward to an evening of lyrical storytelling with sparkling melodies and a backdrop of ethereal, melancholic textures.
The New Modern Lights’ latest album infuses elements of fuzzy indie-rock and dream-pop into anthemic songs inspired by the mundanity of life in their home country of Singapore, create a soundtrack to teenage life and experiences, love and heartbreak. Since forming in 2015, the band have continued to make their mark across Singapore’s burgeoning music scene, participating in Baybeats Festival in 2019, while picking up the award for Single of the Year (Rock)at the annual Youth Music Awards in 2021.
