- Scope and Content
- Cultural Medallion recipient Iskandar Jalil meditates on the art of pottery in this demonstration. He takes the viewer through the many steps involved in making a vessel—kneading the clay, wheel throwing, drying, firing in the kiln, glazing the biscuit—while offering personal insights on this discipline. For Iskandar Jalil, the process uncovers the self: “every pot done on the wheel will reveal the potter.”
