Scope and Content
An article written by Guillermo Tolentino in response to Victorio Edades' article on Modern Art published in The Sunday Times Magazine, following the first annual art exhibition of the Art Association of the Philippines. Tolentino shares his insight about modern art as compared to classical, conservative art. He also provides a historical perspective on the influences and development of classical art. Photographs of some classical art by western artists are included in the article.
