National Gallery Singapore, Level B1, Padang Atrium Gallery Gigs brings to audiences live performances by various artists, where you get to enjoy something old, something new, something borrowed and some blues. The theme of this years’ Gallery Gigs, “Future/Nostalgia”, is inspired by how we constantly re-imagine our past, present and futures. For the performers, the continuum of time is an evergreen source of artistic inspiration.
Join Tropika for a live DJ session filled with music from around the world every Friday night during the Light to Night Singapore.
Spotlights will be used on stage.
Tropika is a global music and arts initiative, which focuses on inclusivity, sustainability and well-being. From live music performances to DJ acts, film to art, and panel discussions to interviews, its goal is to provide sonic and mental stimulation to enrich communities and let people enjoy amazing music from around the world.
Tropika is headed by Ramesh Krishnan, a consultant, DJ and sound designer who has managed and performed at international music festivals such as WOMAD Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival.
