8-bit Word Cloud
In this work, Justin Loke explores the connection between digital technology, words and letters. Inspired by philosopher Karl Popper’s essay “On Clocks and Clouds,” the installation harmonises the precision of “clocks” with the unpredictability of “clouds,” mirroring how the concepts of rhyme and reason coexist in literary forms like poetry.
The installation features a poem within its pixelated blocks, with missing letters scattered throughout the Civic District’s six art benches. Embark on a scavenger hunt to locate these missing letters and reconstruct the poem!
The installation is located at The Art House Front Lawn, which is not accessible by wheelchair.
