Here and Now
Here and Now follows the journey of an abandoned cat as it chases a ball of light through a dark alleyway. The lost cat unexpectedly encounters a mythical creature, before being eventually led to her new owner.
Light is depicted as yarn strands, in reference to the weaved stories of cross-culture told by the Asian Civilisations Museum. The accompanying soundtrack features two musical motifs representing the cat and the ball of light respectively, developed throughout the animation as the cat goes on a journey through time and space.
Developed by a team of Year 4 and 5 SOTA visual arts and music students, Here and Now is an authentic reflection of their youthful perspectives and hopes for the future.
