Making Room
Making Room encapsulates the changes made to our private spaces as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. It invites us to contemplate the challenges of physically and mentally adjusting to accommodate new functions in our homes. In deconstructing the living spaces around us and presenting them in an expressly ephemeral light, Making Room hopes to convey the palpable uncertainty of constantly having to make room, both in the physiological and perceptual sense.
Jerome Ng Xin Hao is a creative whose interests span across the fields of architecture, illustration, film and visual communication, leading him to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to design projects. Ng employs both digital and analogue tools to conduct speculative research into how cities and communities are constructed.
Zed Haan is a Singapore-based spatial designer and artist. His current research questions and reframes the role of objects and detailing in order to reveal the dormant qualities of the mundane.
