Art Skins on Monuments: Into Multiplicities
5.30–10pm (Fri–Sun)
5.30–7pm (Mon–Thu)
Into Multiplicities explores the unexplored realms of archived information that is collected across time, languages, and individuals. It references Jorge Luis Borges’ The Library of Babel, which talks about the notion of a library of infinite books which contains every sentence that could possibly be written. Into Multiplicities presents material of a more personal or intimate in the library through words, strokes and images that culminate in abstract visuals. The artist’s intention is to highlight the tenacity of the human mind as well as its capacity to interpret reality. The work reflects on the intangible emotions and underlying feelings that are driven by human nature.
