“If you don’t see us, you don’t think about us.”
In the live performance of Glimpse, four artists—a chess-playing musician, an escape movement artist, a parental theatre maker and a death-cleaning cosplayer—come together to spark brief moments of connection, affirmation and transcendence. Reflect on ideas of care and pleasure derived from how things are and not how they should be as you engage with the performance, which combines text, visual and audio description with shadow interpretation and performance art.
Sign Language interpretation will be available. Please note that the performance includes the use of videos, which have been close captioned. There will also be audio descriptions for parts of the performance.
Grace Lee-Khoo and RJ Thomson lead an international team of interdisciplinary artists from Singapore, UK and Hong Kong. They include namely performing artists Natsume, Ramesh Meyyappan, Tung Ka Wai, Wheelsmith, filmmakers Kulbir Singh, Alvin Thoo, fashion designer Max Tan, lighting designer Liu Yong Huay and composer Felix Lam, with audio description by Kaite O’Reilly.
