Gallery Mix presents Syndicate Sessions – Shelhiel X Winnie Xuan & Syamil Norzalahuddin
In collaboration with Syndicate, Gallery Mix presents an evening of pop performances where artists explore the delicate balance between the abstract and the perceptible. Discover and appreciate the diverse forms of sound and dance that arise from interdisciplinary collaborations between artists, who each have their own unique approaches to music and movement, from the experimental to the popular.

Shelhiel is a genre-bending multidisciplinary artist making waves in Southeast Asia and beyond, playing at various festivals such as SXSW and, Good Vibes Festival. He has also opened for acts such as Tennyson, Hyukoh, FKJ and Crystal Castles. He has been lauded in publications including NOWNESS, DJ Mag, i-D and NME as an auteur and creative force. Shelhiel recently won the Malaysia PWH Music Award for best arrangement for one of his productions, Shio’s Extrication, which was also picked up by Netflix and included as the theme song for The Ghost Bride.
A Semenyih boy from a family of art enthusiasts, Syamil Norzalahuddin graduated from Foundation in Creative Arts, Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA), which led him to venture into dance as well as theatre. In 2018, he won the Best Newcomer Award for Short & Sweet Dance, which was choreographed by Mohd Nuriqram. Syamil continued working with the choreographer in other projects such as “Anak Angkat” in Dancing Alone, and was also part of which won several BOH Cameronian Awards in 2020.
Winnie Xuan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the dance faculty of Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA). She has completed RAD Advanced 2 and CSTD Grade 8 in Modern Jazz. She was awarded First Place in Ballet at Get The Beat Finals 2018 and 5th place in Korea International Contemporary Dance Competition 2021. Xuan has had the privilege to work with choreographers such as Leng Poh Gee, Hwa Wei-An, Kenny Shim, Murni Omar, Js Wong and more in productions such as JAMU, Gelombang Baru, Tari’19, and Dancebox.
