Dwelling
Imagine a dwelling full of chatter and mirth, and the sounds of newspaper rustling.
Responding to Yeow Kai Chai’s collection of poems, One to the Dark Tower Comes, architect Vince Ong’s work explores the archetype of a house, with a light at the core that brings people together as they nourish, protect and raise their spirits.
"Archetypes are a subject that occupies much of VOCH’s study about the realm of living and healing, especially when it concerns spaces that protect, comfort and nourish. This interest led him to study architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture London, UK. During his study, he made films about forgotten spaces and designed architectural ornaments reflecting the diverse reproduction methods in natural history. Before he founded his design studio EBON, he worked at Foster+Partners in London and WOHA Architects in Singapore."
